We are delighted to present the impressive series of paintings entitled ‘Sehnsucht’ (Longing) by the artist Karin Angerer at our offices from 1 December. The series comprises 12 works, each measuring 50 x 50 cm, painted on canvas and framed in black.
In this series, Karin Angerer works with a harmonious colour palette of black, gold, silver and beige. These noble tones give the works a special depth and elegance. The pictures are designed as collages with different papers and contain text elements that expand the pictorial space and poetically underline the theme of longing. These text elements give the pictures an additional dimension and invite the viewer to search for hidden meanings.
The series ‘Longing’ addresses the feeling of desire for something distant or unknown – a universal human emotion that Angerer expresses in an impressive way through abstract forms, textures and colours. Her works combine simplicity with sophistication and leave room for personal interpretation.
